Young artists supporting young artists. 🎨 The students behind Beyond the Frame built their own art gallery event from the ground up, and chose Yeah, Art! as the benefiting organization. Meet the young artists behind it and shop their work, with 100% of proceeds supporting Yeah, Art!

Through Sky’s The Limit, a seven-week digital illustration pilot from Yeah, Art!, K–5 students at Redwood Heights Elementary learned creative technology fundamentals including pixels, masking and layering. Each student created an original planet in Microsoft Paint, which was then animated into a collaborative piece displayed atop Salesforce Tower.

Yeah, Art!’s newest class is taking student artwork to new heights — literally. “Sky’s The Limit” is our new digital illustration program designed to introduce Oakland students to the creative tools shaping the future. Their final projec will be displayed on top of the Salesforce Tower, making our students the youngest artists ever featured on the building.

Produced entirely by middle school students, Yeah, Art!’s second mixtape showcases what’s possible when young artists are given professional tools, mentorship and creative freedom. GRAMMY Award winning instructors don’t hurt either.

Students at Best Buy Teen Tech Centers took on our bold challenge: design the next Microsoft Surface tablet cover. In this hands-on workshop, Yeah, Art! taught young creatives digital illustration skills that could help launch their design careers.

We brought Washington Elementary School together to paint their dream playgrounds, then transformed those canvases into an animated story. This Dream & Paint night blended creativity and technology to turn STEM into STEAM.

What does forgiveness sound like? For Oakland middle schoolers in our Yeah, Art! spoken word workshop, it sounded raw, honest, and deeply personal. Their poetry was featured at the Oakland Symphony.

What if your drawing could jump off the page? At Montclair Elementary, our students used 3D augmented reality to bring their dream worlds to life — narrating, animating, and designing their own stories from scratch.

Gearing up to expand in 2025, we hosted our first Big Kid Training. The training included local artists in animation, video editing, AI and more.

Our latest video is produced entirely by the young artists at Youth Beat, a fellow Bay Area nonprofit empowering future filmmakers through media education.

Our nonprofit’s first mixtape features 14 original songs written, performed & produced by Oakland students.

Yeah, Art! had the privilege of supporting fellow nonprofit 826 Valencia in its annual Storytellers’ Showcase. Students from 826 Valencia’s writing programs joined to read their original writing for their families and community.

Nooworks is a woman-owned, size-inclusive clothing brand that features custom textiles by rotating artists. We’re excited to announce that all proceeds from the brand’s latest print, Desert Disaster, will be donated to Yeah, Art!

We partnered with Generation Thrive and The Warriors Community Foundation to host a “Paint & Sip”-inspired experience with a futuristic twist.

We’re partnering with Freely In Hope to support Pendo’s Power, a children’s book that prevents sexual abuse. Pendo’s Power teaches age-appropriate concepts about consent, body autonomy, safe touch, and the power of their voice.

Yeah, Art! just wrapped our first semester of our three-year commitment at Roosevelt Middle School. Our Big Kids led Vocal Performance, Songwriting and Music Production workshops 2-4x/week for the budding young artists at Roosevelt.
