Little artists paint (then animate) their dream playgrounds
At Washington Elementary School in Point Richmond, Yeah, Art! turned a simple paint night into something extraordinary. Students, families, and teachers came together for our Dream & Paint workshop, where everyone grabbed a canvas and imagined their dream playground. From rocket slides to rainbow swings, the ideas were as vibrant as the artists behind them.
But if you’ve been to a Yeah, Art! paint night, you know — it’s not like a regular paint night. Ours come with a futuristic twist. After each masterpiece was complete, we captured photos and audio narrations from the artists themselves. Then, we wove everything together into a final animated story with immersive sound — transforming individual canvases into a living, breathing vision of the future.
This is how Yeah, Art! pushes arts education forward: by blending creativity with technology, and turning STEM into STEAM. Students don’t just paint — they see their art come alive, discover new tools, and learn how technology can amplify their ideas.
This special event was made possible thanks to the support of the Gateway Foundation, whose generous grant helped us bring Dream & Paint to the Washington Elementary community.
At Yeah, Art!, we believe that when students imagine the future, they should have access to the tools that will help them shape it. Dream & Paint is one way we make that vision real — sparking creativity, inspiring community, and equipping young people with skills for tomorrow.
